The Richness of the Earth's Equator

I was born in a remote village. The village is far from the big city. Pejalu is the name of my village, located in the Earth’s Equator, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. There is no electricity flowing in my village. As night falls, my house just fill by pelita (kerosene lamp).

Speaking about my role for the Earth, must be about everything that can I do to the Earth where I stand, the Earth’s Equator. My Earth is Earth which is very rich in natural resources. But this wealth hasn’t manage well by lack of human resources.

As a student of social i will always trying to develop science, technology and culture, because these three could not be separated in the context of Indonesian life. My role as students and residents of the Earth sought to always keep the balance of nature, technology and culture. Making technology and the culture as a foothold to build green natural. With the knowledge I have in the field of technology, I can manage natural resources well, without leaving the traditional culture of which are already existing. By a coalescence nature, technology and culture I believe it will bring Indonesia able to compete with developed countries.

My Country, Indonesia has uranium reserves largest could be used for raw materials nuclear power stations. National Nuclear Energy Agency (Batan Indonesia) recorded a total of 29,000 tons of uranium reserves are in the land of my birth, the Earth Equator, West Kalimantan. I feel so fortunate over boons that, I have an important role in keeping was natural resources this with best performance, that will give the benefits for the people on Earth.

Nuclear is remarkable, boons the lord. I must be grateful for the equator, its existence on the Earth West Kalimantan to save Indonesia from the energy crisis. It is already appropriately harnessed to improve human welfare. I hope nuclear can play a role in helping address the energy crisis national in indonesia at this time, So my role to keep the earth can mean. The existence of nuclear energy was indispensable to support the realization of energy security of supply.
